Service Description
Athletes will receive personalised feedback and instruction on their sprinting or hurdling technique as they practice the changes that will make the biggest difference to their performance at the current stage of their development.
The key elements for focus could be from any of the following areas:
HURDLES
- start to hurdle 1
- lead leg and trail leg mechanics
- hurdle take-off
- hurdle clearance
- hurdle landing
- sprinting between hurdles
- stride pattern (for long hurdles & for developing athletes in sprint hurdles)
- the run-out
- mindset for racing
- adjusting for conditions (e.g. head wind, tail wind, rain)
SPRINTS
- start (standing, crouch, 3 point or blocks)
- acceleration
- body posture
- arm action
- foot strike
- leg speed to power ratio
- relays
Athletes will leave the session with between one and three key high-impact actions to practice.
